Cresco Biotech Ltd. is a deep tech company manufacturing low-carbon biocomposites for the
construction industry. The core innovation is the proprietary CrescoBindTM process that utilizes cultured bacteria to bind waste aggregates at room temperature. Compared to traditional MICP processes, this technology reduces molding time by 97%. Cresco products are sustainable, circular alternatives to traditional panelling. CrescoBindTM can also be used to produce insulation panels, tiles and precast elements. The biocomposites produced are breathable, fire resistant and use high percentages of industrial & agricultural secondary resources.
The role in the project: As the main technology provider, Cresco drives the core material development by characterizing biomass and optimizing the CrescoBind process to achieve successful rapid moulding using bioregional wastes. Cresco will develop four distinct product lines using local biomass and set up pilot production for prototypes.
